With Mautive you can easily attach files to your email messages, but it’s not recommended for a couple of reasons:
1. It makes your email message size large which can cause sending speed to decrease.
2. It is more likely to be treated as spam in your recipents’ inbox.
For these reasons we limit the type and size of message attachments to DOC, PDF, or JPG at 1 MB.
A better way to send files might be to provide the link to the file (hosted on your own server, or through a third-party service) so that none of the above problems are likely to happen. The file could be any size and is less likely to affect delivery to the inbox.
Digioh is now integrated with Mautive to allow you to easily upload and control files that are sent through your email marketing campaigns.
With Digioh and Mautive, you can:
- Upload files of any size and type.
- Control how your subscribers can access and share files.
- Track who’s downloading your files.
- Capture new leads by requiring list signup prior to downloading your files.
All of this means you can extend the existing capabilities of Mautive by using Digioh to provide a better file download experience, and help grow your subscriber lists at the same time!
How It Works
To get started, create a free account with Digioh and add files to your account:
Set your security and expiration options for each file based on how you want to control access:
To require an email address prior to downloading the file (which helps grow your lists), set Security Options to “List Grower,” and add a “Subscribe” checkbox on the “Customize” > “Signup Fields” tab:
It’s that easy. Non-subscribers that try to access the file (when your subscribers share the link) will be required to input their email address. If they also check the “Subscribe” checkbox, they are then automatically added to Mautive as a new subscriber:
More advanced users can also embed a signup form or “Download” button onto their own site by simply pasting code:
This makes it very easy to integrate Digioh with your website in order to increase conversions.
